Can't Get Key Out Of Ignition Camaro

Cant turn ignition to get key out.

Can't get key out of ignition camaro. I can Only start the car by putting it in neutral. Feb 24 2001 Location. If nothing happens rock the steering wheel as you turn the key.

3 times now. You just cant get the key. Twice I pushed in on the release tab on the ignition that you use to take the key out and it turned.

About 7 months ago KJ7 posted a video of somebody with the same problem but in a Camaro. Taking the time to make sure that all of these components are in the right place and behaving in the right way will help you get your key out of the ignition when the car key wont come out. Couldnt get the key out after turning off the engine without realizing disco wasnt in PARK.

This can involve having the key removed changing the ignition. Theres the same yellow switch that the Camaro has but its on the opposite side of the ignition to the Camaro. FIX- Remove plastic cover on steering column.

Its a simple fix done this for a few friends already you need a heavy duty battery charger and charge the battery up from the posts under the hood after you get an adequate charge you will be able to turn the car on then the key will work normal again. I have my car key locked in the ignition with the gear stick in Park. I suggest to wiggle the steering wheel a bit and see if the key gets released out. Behind this is the metal plunger.
